Goldfish Gazing

Walking the perimeter of the property with the boys has
been a little too breath-taking lately, so I have been hanging
closer to home enjoying the goldfish pond.

Dozens and dozens of goldfish and one big koi.

Their fluid and ever-changing patterns are mesmerizing.
And if I sit there long enough, at least one of the cats
always shows up and joins me.

Frail, Feeble, and Feverish

Its been over seven weeks since my head cold devolved into bronchitis
Despite lots of rest and comfort and a pharmacy-worth of goodies,
I started feeling worse, so it was back to the doctor's office.

So, now I have antibiotics to fight any lingering bacteria,
anti-inflammatory steroids for the lungs, and
a rescue inhaler to cover my bases.

The best part of being sick for so long, besides the excuse to
rest with my guys, has been building my personal dictionary,
a lexicon of words I enjoy and want to write with.

Frail, feeble, and feverish have not made my list since there
are so many scintillating and mellifluous choices available :).

Life Goals

Long-term goals have never been my thing, shorter-term goals
seem more enjoyable and attainable.  So I've been working my
seven "Merry Bright" creativity goals into a broader plan
of eight areas to work on: Generativity, Stability/Roots,
Relationships, Happiness, Uniqueness, Culture/Vibe,
Multi-Faceted Intellectual and Deep Thoughts.

Raspberry Dribble

Raspberry iced coffee cake is about the least expensive pastry
at our Safeway bakery, but it is pure perfection every time.

Crumbly cake, drizzled icing, gobs of berries.  Yum!

Puffy Pink Scarf

Vladi know this is the good stuff, a package from Beautiful Place!

Topped with a watercolor note and fairy flower, this is a delight.

Soft pinks with a rainbow of trim colors, the details are captivating.

Oh and its so very, very soft.

It may have taken to my 40's, but I finally have the good
sense to surround myself with beautiful things.

Indoor Garden

One of my favorite purchases in the past few years has been
this scrumptious comforter by Vera Bradley.

Even on cloudy days, it adds a punch of color that cheers me up.

And the whole family seems to enjoy its cushiness.

Art of the Bagel

Every so often we fall back in love with toasted bagels
and how quickly they can be decorated and enjoyed.

An everything bagel with fluffed cream cheese,
yellow cherry tomatoes and pepper.  Masterpiece!
