Candy Extreme

I haven't been to a Dylan's Candy Bar, but I adore this book.

To be honest, I haven't read a paragraph, I keep
getting sidetracked by the mindboggling photos.

A page of pastel sweets? Oh yeah, this is happening.

I can practically taste the Easter frosting.

And of course the obligatory candy sundae to finish.

Strawberry Chocolate

These Ritter Sport chocolates are yummy,
a bit like a creamy cocoa-strawberry shake.

And drop-dead gorgeous as well.

I couldn't resist stacking pieces up for a few photos.

The chocolate is starting to melt together under the lights.

So they all needed to be eaten quickly :).

Sour Stars

Another new favorite from the Grocery Outlet...

Sweet's Candy Sour Stars.

Truth-be-told, I got these because they are so photogenic.

A bowlful of summer sunshine.

And somehow these taste as good as they look:
juicy, flavorful,
just right.

Gimbal's Jelly Beans

I used to be a fan of Jelly Belly jellybeans, but I have a new beau:

 Gimbal's Sour Gourmet Jelly Beans

The flavors have just the right combo of sweet and bite, and
are a distinctly different taste from other jelly bean brands.

My favorite part is that they are soft and don't harden
with a bit of exposure to the air.

I can see a bowlful of these sitting out with tea and biscuits.

They are quite beautiful, I keep gazing at them longingly.

The perfect mix of spring, summer, and Easter colors.
Jelly bean love!

Haribo Peaches

These peach gummi candies popped up at the local Grocery Outlet
and at 99 cents, I had to snag a bag.

I'm going to try to hunt down the Gold-Bears,
Fruit Salad, and Twin Cherries too (great names!).

The second I opened the bag, the most amazing real-peach
smell gushed out, I was already hooked.

I like my gummi candies a bit softer to chew, but the rich peach
flavor and substantial sugar textured coating made it work.

And they are so beautiful to look at!

Bags of Candy

I've been collecting beautiful things to photograph, draw, paint, and
write about.  What can be better than candy?

The price is right, 99 cents a bag (or less) at the local Grocery Outlet.

I'm not even sure what these are, but the pastel shapes are pretty!

These models will sit still for me hour after hour...

...and then we get to eat them :).
