The Nature of Food

In searching for symbolism associated with nature and science,
I am surprised how modern everyday objects, like the food we eat,
are often disregarded as "manufactured objects" and not considered
as part of the nature of the world we live in.  We spend so much time
with food, how often does our mind detect patterns of life?

There have to be answers to how the universe works
in a Betty Crocker cookbook :).

Where does density fit in?
One theme that reappears is the risen, airy texture of breads and cakes.
Reminiscent of a fluffed pillow, an airy nest, a draw to comfort and home.

The tangy yellows of the lemon and cake can represent a
bittersweet draw on contrasts, opposites attracting.

Textured foods may represent miniature landscapes that we create,
shape, and devour; recreating life cycles and energy flow.

Natural catastrophic events are reduced, examined, and enjoyed.

A microcosm we can master and enjoy,
I may never look at food the same way again.
